The festival, curated by impresario Marc Marshall, will take place from March 13 to 15, 2025, at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden.

The unique atmosphere of Mr. M’s Jazz Club has long been known in the international music scene. So it's no surprise that the 17th edition of this unique jazz festival will once again host numerous greats from the national and international jazz scene in Baden-Baden.

For nearly two decades, artists have followed Marc Marshall's invitation to turn the Kurhaus Baden-Baden into a vibrant jazz hotspot. The festival is one of the world's outstanding jazz events - a place where the jazz elite gathers for electrifying live sessions, celebrating music and life. Every evening is unique, full of spontaneous magic and unforgettable moments.

From 13 to 15 March 2025, the audience can expect a top-class line-up: world star Nathan East (USA) on bass and saxophone legend Eric Marienthal (USA) will be on stage on all three evenings. The Mr M's All Star Band, led by Frank Lauber since 2008 and featuring world-class instrumentalists, will shine alongside them. With Simon Oslender (p, organ, keys), Noah East (p, organ, keys), Felix Lehrmann (dr), Bruno Müller (g), Bastian Stein (tr) and Frank Lauber (MD, sax), each of them could perform a solo evening - together they create a perfect harmony of breathtaking solos, rousing improvisations and unforgettable ensemble moments.

On all three evenings, Marc Marshall welcomes his audience with his unmistakable blend of charm, passion and musical dedication. Mr M's Jazz Club is more than just a concert - it is an experience, an encounter at eye level with the music and its masters.

  • Sy Smith (USA) has proven throughout her career that an R&B artist can be progressive and firmly rooted in tradition at the same time. The singer, songwriter and producer with a vocal range of five octaves has worked with many well-known artists. 
     
  • Cosmo Klein (GER) has released several albums, reached the German singles charts and lent his voice to various electronic projects. His songs not only made it onto dance floors around the world, but also received support from radio stations in several countries, making Cosmo Klein an international success. 
     
  • Joo Kraus (GER) has been one of the most renowned jazz trumpeters in our part of the world for many years. Joo Kraus founded the hip-jazz duo ‘Tab Two’ with Hellmut Hattler in the early 1990s. In the 2000s, he increasingly wrote his own songs and toured worldwide. He has received 2 Grammy nominations, the Echo Jazz award for best German trumpeter and 5 German Jazz Awards in gold.

  • Natalie Williams (UK) is one of UK's most popular entertainers and soul/jazz artists. She can look back on a breathtaking career as a performer, songwriter and presenter. Her acclaimed concerts at the world-famous Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in the heart of Soho, London, are always sold out.
     
  • Tony Momrelle (UK) is one of the most exciting and important soul musicians on the modern British stage. He has toured with some of the biggest artists in the world. He was the lead singer of the famous British acid jazz band Incognito for more than 16 years before launching his solo career in 2015.
     
  • Lizzy Loeb (USA) combines jazzy harmonies with catchy pop melodies and profound lyrics. Her music is characterised by a warm voice and virtuoso guitar playing. Lizzy began writing songs as a child. Her talent quickly took her to international stages. She will be performing an exclusive set at Mr M's Jazz Club 2025.

  • Lucy Woodward (USA) is a singer with soulful, powerful vocals. The songs range from an energetic explosion of blues rhythms to haunting anthem-like melodies. 
     
  • Clara Lucas (GER), the Hamburg-based pop-soul singer, lives up to her name with her crystal-clear voice. She became known as the singer and songwriter of the jazz-funk band TILAR, whose viral videos triggered a wave of popularity. Her album ‘Over The Moon’ and her EP ‘Unite and Heal’ reached fans all over the world. 
     
  • Will Santt (BRA) began his musical journey as a child and discovered bossa nova at the age of 11. He learnt several instruments self-taught and developed a unique style that combines traditional Brazilian music with modern elements. His performance at Mr M's Jazz Club is a significant step in his international career and underlines his growing international recognition.

World-class musicians united: Mr. M's All Star Band

Since its foundation, Mr. M's All Star Band has stood for musical excellence and unique live experiences. Under the direction of Frank Lauber, it brings together outstanding instrumentalists who form the heart of Mr. M's Jazz Club with rousing improvisations, virtuoso solos and perfect interplay.

  • Simon Oslender (p, organ, keys)
    The award-winning pianist and WDR Jazz Prize winner is one of the most exciting young voices in jazz. His groove and musicality inspire jazz greats such as Randy Brecker and Bill Evans. With a unique blend of soul, funk and jazz, he provides magical moments at Mr. M's Jazz Club in the Kurhaus Baden-Baden.
     
  • Noah East (p, organ, keys)
    As the son of bass legend Nathan East, Noah East brings a fascinating energy and modern nuances to the jazz tradition. His expressive improvisations combine with the spirit of the festival and make him a perfect addition to Mr. M's All Star Band.
     
  • Felix Lehrmann (drums)
    A true rhythm master: Felix Lehrmann provides the unmistakable groove with explosive energy and technical perfection. Whether in rousing jazz improvisations or gentle ballads - his playing forms the pulsating heart of Mr. M's Jazz Club.
     
  • Bruno Müller (guitar)
    As one of the most sought-after jazz guitarists in Germany, Bruno Müller combines smooth jazz harmonies with funk and soul. His solos and unmistakable sound are a highlight of every live performance at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden.
     
  • Bastian Stein (trumpet, nur Freitag)
    Bastian Stein enriches the line-up on Friday with his warm, expressive trumpet sound. His virtuosity lends the arrangements a melodic depth that immerses the audience at Mr. M's Jazz Club in a world of pure jazz emotion.
     
  • Frank Lauber (MD, saxophone)
    As musical director of Mr. M's All Star Band, Frank Lauber leads the ensemble with the utmost precision and dedication. His saxophone playing combines technical perfection with pure passion - an indispensable part of the jazz festival in Baden-Baden.
