Frank Plasberg featured by “Schoog im Dialog”

Wed 25. Mar 2026 / 20.00 o'clock
Kurhaus Baden-Baden • Runder Saal
Talk series with Bernadette Schoog

Tickets: 28/32 € (numbered seats). Tickets are available onlineand in our booking offices.

Four times a year, Bernadette Schoog invites prominent guests to the Kurhaus Baden-Baden for a discussion. Exciting personalities are asked about their lives, visions, ideas, influences and thoughts. A close-up, ninety-minute experience with an empathetic interviewer in the beautiful ambience of the Runder Saal.

For over two decades, Frank Plasberg, who was born in Remscheid, was the face of ARD's most important political talk show "Hart aber fair". In 2022, he handed over the format that he had built up and shaped to his successor Louis Klamroth. Plasberg, the journalist, the presenter, the award-winning talk show host - who was named “Journalist of the Year” and honored with the Bambi, among other awards - stood and still stands for challenging discussions, controversial topics and always critical but fair questioning when the guests want to digress into empty phrases.

Even as a young man, he worked as a journalist for various newspapers until 1980, when he got his first radio show on what was then SWF 3. This is another reason why many people still know him. He studied theater studies, politics and education on the side for a while, but then dropped out to pursue a career in radio and television. In 1987, he took over the moderation of “Aktuelle Stunde” at WDR and shortly afterwards also became the editor-in-chief of this television magazine show. The next turning point, "Hart aber fair", is history and finally made him one of the most popular and sought-after journalists in Germany.

Today, Frank Plasberg is booked as a speaker and analyst of the political landscape and enjoys no longer having to go toe-to-toe with his celebrity guests every week. He will have a lot to tell Bernadette Schoog about his eventful life.
