World Champions’ Rendezvous at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden
For three decades, the World Dance Gala has combined international dance artistry with the festive atmosphere of the Kurhaus Baden-Baden. The 31st edition will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in the magnificent Bénazet Hall and continues the long tradition of the “World Champions’ Rendezvous.”
Unlike a traditional dance competition, this evening is not focused on points or rankings. The dancers present their choreographies as a show, showcasing dance at the highest level. Precision, expression, musical interpretation, and the impact of the staging define the unique character of the World Dance Gala.
The 2026 Program
The program brings together top-tier dance couples and formations with the diversity of show and formation dance. Artur Balandin & Anna Salita will present the Latin American dances samba, cha-cha-cha, rumba, and jive. Vadim Shurin & Anastasia Meshkova embody the elegance of standard dance with quickstep, slow fox, slow waltz, and tango.
Other highlights of the evening include:
- KIDScompany with a modern/jazz formation featuring around 20 dancers
- Wilma and Viktor Edlund with boogie-woogie
- a rock ’n’ roll formation performing to music by Elvis Presley
- Jazz Lights with a show dance formation
- Dorel & Costel Surbeck with tap dance
- TSC Schwarz Gold with an A-level standard formation
- HSV Zwölfaxing with an A-level Latin formation and the program “Beyond Time”
The range of the 2026 Dance Gala extends from standard and Latin through formation dance and show dance to rock ’n’ roll, tap dance, and boogie-woogie. The diverse dance styles and choreographies give each segment of the program its own unique character.
