Concert Series in the Round Hall
“Rhythm & Blues at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden” combines live music spanning rhythm & blues, soul, jazz, and funk with the intimate atmosphere of a club concert. On October 8, 2026, the Ralf Heinrich Group will take the stage in the Round Hall alongside singer Dennis LeGree.
The concert series thrives on stylistic transitions, a joy of playing, and room for improvisation. Familiar forms from soul, funk, jazz, and rhythm & blues meet spontaneous musical developments that emerge from the interaction among the musicians.
Ralf Heinrich Group and Dennis LeGree
At the heart of the evening is drummer and artistic director Ralf Heinrich with his ensemble, the Ralf Heinrich Group. Until 2025, the band was known as The Voyagers. Together with rotating musical guests, the group develops unique timbres and musical dialogues for each performance.
Dennis LeGree will be performing as a guest soloist. For many years, he appeared on stage as “Papa” in the musical “Starlight Express” in Germany and the U.S. He has also performed as a vocal soloist with symphony and philharmonic orchestras in theaters and opera houses across Germany and Austria.
Dennis LeGree is also known to a wide audience for his appearances on “The Voice of Germany.” In addition, he performs on various stages with the group The Soul Tenors and their show “Let The Good Times Roll.”
Music blending soul, jazz, and funk
The collaboration between the Ralf Heinrich Group and Dennis LeGree gives the evening its unique musical character. Vocals, rhythm, and instrumental solos intertwine. Improvised passages, musical transitions, and the shift between different styles are hallmarks of this concert series.
